Our jam uses Brown Turkey Figs from our favorite grower at the farmers market. These figs have a very short growing season and appear only a few weeks out of the year. They have a very light, delicate flavor that can't be beat.
We've roasted the figs with local wildflower honey to bring out their wonderful flavor. We've added handfuls of certified organic, locally grown walnuts. The walnuts, from the central coast area, are creamy and flavorful, without any hints of bitterness. They add a wonderful nutty flavor and are the perfect match for our figs.
We love serving this jam with some goat cheese or with any cheese platter.
